We are always excited to hear from prospective members joining the group, whether you’d like to do a MPhil, PhD, Postdoc, or just visiting. Please do get in touch first.

Prospective Masters students

You are welcome to apply for a one-year Master’s project with our group through the School of Biological Sciences MPhil in Biological Science (Plant Sciences) by thesis programme.
Limited funding may be available depending on individual circumstances. For further details, please see the University’s pages for information.

Visitors

If you are interested in joining the group as a visitor, please contact us so we can explore whether we are able to host your visit. The UK Border Agency has entry rules for academic visitors from overseas. Please check Department of Plant Sciences website for further information.

Prospective PhD students

Details about the process of PhD applications are available at Department of Plant Sciences.

Funding is available through the Cambridge Trusts and GATES programmes, as well as structured PhD programmes including the Cambridge NERC CREATES DLA, the CHIA PhD in Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Sensor Technologies and Applications in an Uncertain World. Other funding sources are available, such as national scholarship schemes and the Commonwealth PhD Scholarships; many of these can be found on the Cambridge Trusts pages.

Funding deadlines tend to be early in the academic year, between September and December. Please get in contact to discuss your application before submission.
